In alignment with Malaysia’s National Sustainability Reporting Framework (NSRF) and the region’s accelerating ESG adoption, the MAPAN ESG Summit 2026 provides a unique bridge between academia, industry, and policymakers. We invite submissions from researchers, practitioners, regulators, consultants, and ESG professionals on cutting-edge themes.

Recognition & Publication

Accepted submissions will be published in the MAPAN 2026 Conference Proceedings (with eISBN).
Selected high-quality papers will be invited for inclusion in edited book volumes with reputable publishers.
Outstanding papers that meet journal standards will be nominated for submission to partner journals, including:

In preparation of the abstract following formats should be considered:

Format - Academic, Industry and Practice Track
Kindly use the Extended abstract format downloadable here.
  • Purpose – What is the aim of the study?
  • Design/methodology/approach – How was the study conducted?
  • Findings – What are the key results?
  • Research limitations/implications – Any limitations?
  • Practical implications – What can practitioners learn?
  • Social implications – Broader ESG/community impact?
  • Originality/value – What makes this work unique or valuable?
  • Include 3–5 keywords.

Call for Paper Presentation (Conference Papers Session)

Accepted papers will be presented during Session 7 (conference papers), in front of sector peers, reviewers and the Scientific Committee. These presentations provide visibility, feedback and networking for both academic and industry authors, and may be highlighted in post-summit publications and Green coverage.

MAPAN ESG IMPACT INNOVATION CHALLENGE 2026


🌍 ABOUT THE CHALLENGE

The MAPAN ESG Impact Innovation Challenge 2026 is a platform to identify, recognise, and showcase ESG innovations—including processes, products, systems, and services—that contribute to meaningful Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) outcomes for organisations, value chains, and society. The Challenge prioritises innovations that demonstrate clear ESG relevance, practical feasibility, innovation value and scalability potential. At the same time, conceptual, theoretical, or aspirational ideas are equally welcome, particularly where they offer new ways of thinking, frameworks, or models that may shape future ESG practices, policies, or market solutions. Aligned with the National Sustainability Reporting Framework (NSRF), ISSB, TCFD, and Bursa Malaysia sustainability disclosure expectations, the Challenge brings together industry players, academic institutions, innovators, financiers, and policymakers to accelerate ESG transformation through both implementable solutions and forward-looking ideas.

🎯 CHALLENGE TRACKS Participants are invited to submit their ESG innovations under ONE (1) of the following tracks:
  • 💰 Green Financing Innovations that improve or reimagine sustainable finance, ESG-linked or transition financing, impact investing, financial instruments, or funding mechanisms.
  • 🌍 Climate Disclosures Ideas or solutions that enhance climate-related reporting, transparency, data quality, assurance readiness, or alignment with recognised disclosure frameworks.
  • ♻️ ESG Innovation Integrated ESG concepts or solutions that embed environmental, social, and governance considerations into organisational decision-making, governance, or operations.
  • 🔗 Supply Chain Integration Innovations addressing value-chain transparency, supplier engagement, measurement, data integration, or emissions reduction.
  • 🔄 Circular Economy Solutions or concepts promoting lifecycle thinking, resource efficiency, waste reduction, reuse, recycling, circular design, or sustainable materials.
🔍 SCOPE OF ELIGIBLE INNOVATIONS Submissions may take the form of:
  • Processes – ESG governance, risk management, disclosure, assurance, or supply-chain engagement workflows
  • Products – Green financial instruments, ESG tools, digital platforms, circular materials, or climate technologies
  • Systems – ESG management systems, data integration platforms, tracking systems, decision-support systems
  • Services – ESG advisory, reporting, assurance, financing facilitation, capacity-building, or implementation services
